Qualifications: Our client a tier one, national real estate development company is currently looking for a Leasing Assistant to join their dynamic team.
ACADEMIC/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- College Diploma and/or Certificate in Administration;
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years office/clerical experience in a commercial real estate environment or equivalent;
- Must excel in ability to prioritize workload;
- Ability to multitask;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate across all levels of management within the company as well as outside the organization;
- Understanding of lease terminology;
- Proficient in MS Word, Power Point and Excel;
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to one or more people within a regional team. Duties include general clerical and project-based work.
Responsibilities:
The specific duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Field leasing enquiries;
- Assist with site information gathering and drafting documentation and correspondence to be sent to prospective and existing tenants;
- Prepare Deal Summary Sheets;
- Review and revise commission agreements, process broker commission invoices. Act as liaison between tenants and accounting;
- Maintain leasing database, tracking schedules and various leasing reports;
- Prepare amending agreements, extension agreements, and assignments of lease (for existing Tenants) as well as offer to lease;
- Ability to review existing tenant leases and gain a full
understanding of the Tenant's history;
- Draft letters, faxes;
- Send waiver letter and copy of lease to tenants once a binding agreement is in place;
- Attend functions on behalf of the department;
- Liaise with planning, construction, finance, legal and accounting departments as required;
- Assist in preparation of Lease request forms;
- Set-up and assist in preparation of external and internal meetings;
